The Southeast Tennessee Development District
The Southeast Tennessee Development District/Chattanooga Area Regional Council of Governments is a special purpose unit of government created by executive order and comprised of municipal and county governments within the Southeast Tennessee and Northwest Georgia region. SETDD provides and shares a staff to effectively plan, promote and implement programs that result in the development and improvement throughout the southeast region of the Tennessee River Valley Basin. Programs include the services delivered through the Area Agency on Aging and Disability, Tennessee Career Centers, Small and Minority Owned Business Assistance Program, Southeast Industrial Development Association, and the Southeast Tennessee Tourism Association. The Southeast Tennessee Development District serves as a vital force in helping local governments plan for the future by coordinating the establishment of regional and local priorities. |
